All About Invisalign Treatment, Is It Worth A Try?

Having crooked teeth alignment is not a problem that we have to suffer for the rest of our lives. Now, there are ways to get them straightened. Braces are a great option because this has been proven and tested for decades. however, if you do not want to deal with wires, there are other ways to fix your teeth alignment. You have to try Invisalign.

What Is Invisalign?

This is a modern solution when it comes to straightening your teeth. Unlike braces, Invisalign does this effectively without using wires. Instead, you will use clear, smooth, and highly durable plastic that is molded into nearly-visible aligners. They snap into place over your teeth and works like magic! Ortho Center Dentist Clinic is one of the dental clinics in Hong Kong that offers Invisalign. Once you have it, you need to go to your dentist every two weeks to change your aligners to a new set. This way, it will slowly straighten your teeth into perfection.

Steps To Invisalign Teeth Perfection

Before you set an appointment with your doctor, you have to make sure that Invisalign is the perfect solution for you. Usually, Invisalign works similar to traditional braces. However, if you need severe teeth straightening or if the dentist recommends re-spacing, Invisalign might not be the method for you.

At Ortho Center Dentist Clinic, their Invisalign services can treat different cases. If you or your child feels self-conscious about wearing braces, Invisalign is the answer. After getting your first clear thermoplastic aligners, you have to wear it for a few days before you go back to your dentist to replace it with the next set of the aligner. There will be a series of clear aligners for you until you and your dentist achieve the desired alignment.

Tips When Using Invisalign Everyday

What’s good about Invisalign is that nobody else will know that you are straightening your teeth. In fact, you can wear it for 22 hours a day, even when you sleep. Invisalign treatment is also faster compared to braces. With Invisalign, it can last in as little as 20 weeks for some patients. There will be no discomfort while eating. You can take off your Invisalign when you want to eat whatever you want.

Caring For Invisalign

If you have Invisalign and you are a heavy coffee drinker or if you are a smoker, you have to stop the habits because your Invisalign aligners will turn yellow over time, along with your teeth. Now remember that this clear plastic is invisible, but when you do not follow the exceptions, it can be less conspicuous. Make sure you also practice normal dental care and reduce your coffee and cigarettes while you are under the Invisalign treatment.

Invisalign Aftercare

You also need to visit your dentist every 4 to 6 weeks to update your progress. This is also the time when modifications are done when necessary. After your treatment, you can take off your aligners and enjoy your straighter and healthy-looking teeth! Always remember to continue to floss and brush your teeth to prevent cavities and to keep your pearly whites perfectly straight and white.
